KING sharpening stones are designed for sharpening tools from carving chisels, planes to kitchen knives using water. With this stone, you can easily create a fine sharpening paste for greater efficiency when polishing. Grit #6000 for perfect sharpness – thanks to such a fine stone, you can even sharpen a very fine needle-point on the edge.
This is a type of absorbent stone with extra fine synthetic grain, which sharpens even with a small amount of water. Simply sprinkle with water before use to achieve a smooth surface during sharpening.

Which grit to choose?
For sharpening really blunt or uneven blades, use stones with a low JIS number (Japanese classification for grit size). The lower the number, the greater the coarseness of the stone. Stones with high JIS numbers are intended for final and fine sharpening or smoothing.
