Gennou 玄能 – a traditional Japanese hammer, typically used in carpentry and joinery for tapping and also for driving in pegs and nails. It can be used to adjust the blade of a Kanna plane or to fit a steel crown on carving chisels called Nomi. There is an extensive variety of sizes and weights for these hammers.
